OUR COLLABORATIVE
The collaborative is defined as the local governance partnership responsible for the decision-making process whereby the community takes responsibility for improving results for children, families and communities. The collaborative is comprised of individuals representing diverse sectors of the community, including, but not limited to, businesses, education, faith-based, state agencies, non-profit agencies and organizations, for-profit agencies and organizations, city and county government. Any member of the community can become part of the collaborative. There are no special requirements, no membership fees; the only requirement is the desire to actively improve results for families and children in our community.
The collaborative is led by Executive Director, Patsy Shirley and is governed by two boards, a 9 member collaborative board that oversees the State Grant funds from Georgia Family Connection and the annual strategic plan; and a 7 member Non-Profit board, which oversees fundraising and grants to support the work of the collaborative.
